It's amazing the speed of innovation in today's world. It's astonishing how quickly ideas and new concepts can hit the market, whether they are a physical product or a online web based idea such as Digg, where users choose the top stories.

Well why is it taking so long for wireless home theatre products to come to market? Consumers want wireless HD. Consumers need wirless HDMI. Whatever you call it, wirelessHD is coming.

Wireless HDMI promises to help us home theatre enthusiasts rid ourselfs of wires once a for all. Well, not all wires. We will still need the power cord and some wires on the back of our Plasma or other high definition televisions. However wireless HDMI has the potential to eliminate all those wires between devices. Think of not having a long wire running from your Plamsa TV to your receiver on the other side of the room.

HDMI Cables are a rip off when you buy them from Best Buy, Circuit City, or your home theatre installer. HDMI cables are very cheap online from sources like Monoprice.com. Cheap as in as little as $10 for the same $99 cable you find at a Best Buy or Circuit City. No, they aren't brand names like Monster HDMI cables, but they work every bit as good....

Well sorry that it has been several weeks since I blogged about my home theatre setup. It's been ten years since I moved, so I forgot how long it takes to get settled.

Needless to say some things have been easier than anticipated with my new home theatre stuff and some things are going to be a challenge for some time to come.
