Wireless HDMI promises to help us home theatre enthusiasts rid ourselfs of wires once a for all. Well, not all wires. We will still need the power cord and some wires on the back of our Plasma or other high definition televisions. However wireless HDMI has the potential to eliminate all those wires between devices. Think of not having a long wire running from your Plamsa TV to your receiver on the other side of the room.
Yes, there's lots of promise with Wireless HDMI... but we've heard this potential before such as UWB (ultra wide band) and have yet to see useful consumer products hit the market.
Well Philips has promised some type of wireless HDMI type device sometime in 2007. Until then, try no to trip over your power cords :)
